“GWLAD, GWLAD”
A Dog’s Trail with Snoopy was a public free art trail that ran from 8th April - 5th June 2022 in South Wales. This trail was created by Dogs Trust, Wild in Art, and Peanuts.
My design was commissioned by Confused.com and I had the honours of painting my design onto a blank Snoopy sculpture ready for the launch of the trail. My design included iconic Welsh locations that I have visited, with the aim to celebrate the beauty in Wales’ history and culture. “Gwlad, Gwlad” which comes directly from the Welsh national anthem, aptly translates to “Country, Country” and nods to passionate Welsh pride.
At the end of the trail, “Gwlad, Gwlad” sold for a whopping £7,000 at auction - the highest selling Snoopy sculpture from the trail. Overall the art trail raised an incredible £156,000 for the Dogs Trust charity, to help support the new rehoming centre that opened in Cardiff in 2022.
